Come enjoy an incredible display of classic, antique, vintage, rat rod, and hot rod cars along Main Street in Westcliffe — all set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

Mark your calendars for Labor Day Saturday and join fellow car enthusiasts in exploring our charming rural mountain town. Don't forget to cast your vote for your favorite cars! There will be Cash Prize Drawings + Best in Show and People’s Choice Awards.

This event is packed with fun for the whole family, with food, music, and entertainment available throughout the day.

National Child Passenger Safety Month

Written by Jim Weicherding / Every month of September, a focus on properly restrained children in vehicles is recognized during National Child Passenger Safety Week. This year’s focus week is from Sunday, September 18th thru Saturday, September 24th, 2022. Saturday, the 24th, is also National Car Seat Check Up Day. Many police departments team up with children’s hospitals across the USA each year during these focus weeks to help insure that little kids and infants are safely restrained in backseats. Car seat check ups are crucial when it comes to car seats and infants. Outdated, worn or used car seats, can put an infant in harm’s way if that vehicle is involved in a crash. Trained car seat installers, inspectors and specialists can check your car seat for safety relatively quickly and you will not be detained for a long period of time. It’s well worth the amount of time it takes to ensure that your child is safer. During the year, many police departments offer car seat check ups and you can visit your city, town and community police department website for more information. Buckleupallofus “Car Seats For Kids” Campaign is at its busiest during the month of September across New England with many showcases at area car shows, cruise nights, festivals, fairs, race tracks and police held community events. Funds raised, helps purchase car seats for low income families and single parents. This is our 42nd Oregon High Desert Swap Meet, Car Show and Antiques. We are the second longest held event at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds, second only to the Deschutes County Fair. Come join us. Reserve your space today.
This is the Largest One Day Automobile and Antique event east of the Cascades with vendors featuring new, used and reproduction car parts of all kinds. If you are looking for that hard to find part to finish your project, it just might be here.
We have a Special, ANTIQUES and COLLECTIBLE section with spaces reserved for collectibles and antiques. We have many dealers from the Pacific Northwest. We will not have the indoor building. But there will be plenty of outdoor spaces for antiques.
There is a Car Corral for those looking for their next cool ride.
The clubs helping put on this event are the Central Oregon Old Car Club and The High Desert A’s, The Drifters, and non- affiliated members
Also, for the benefit of people that want to drive their custom, muscle car, antique car to the swap meet, there is a Car Show for PRE 1979 vehicles in a roped off area you can show them in. This is s non-judged no trophy car show, just good ole fun. Dash plaques available while supplies last.
There will be food vendors when you get hungry.
Spectators are always FREE, and parking is always FREE. Spaces fill up fast. Call or email Butch and reserve your space today! Multiple spaces together, no problem, but early reservations will make this much easier. Also, let Butch know what you are selling for easier placement.
Also, if you have a hard to park trailer or rig that you want in the swap meet, tell Butch about this. It will make it much easier when you arrive to set up. Also, tell Butch what you are selling so he can help you select the best spaces to sell from and Antique collectible swap meet only. Please no inappropriate material.
600 swap meet spaces are available on the fairgrounds.
Outside spaces 20′ x 15′ – $45.00 per space No Indoor Spaces this year.
Set up begins at 3:00 pm Friday.
Vendors can enter the fairgrounds at 6:30am Saturday morning to set up or buy their spaces.
